As Treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors for Ashleigh's Legacy Foundation, I am honored to help carry forward the legacy of my sister-in-law, Ashleigh, whose courageous journey with brain cancer continues to inspire our mission. Ashleigh was one of the warmest, most welcoming, and funniest people I have ever known. She approached every challenge with remarkable strength, grace, and an unwavering determination to never give up. She taught me so much about motherhood, resilience, and finding joy even in life's hardest moments. Her love and influence continue to shape our family every day. My husband and I were passionate about creating this foundation as a way to put our love into action and honor Ashleigh's memory. What began as a heartfelt tribute has grown into a mission dedicated to supporting others and ensuring that her legacy lives on through hope, compassion, and community. One of Ashleigh's greatest legacies is the lasting impact she has on our daughter, Quinn Everleigh. Named in honor of her beloved Aunt Ashleigh, Quinn carries a piece of her with her always. We lovingly think of Ashleigh as Quinn's heavenly godmother, watching over her each day. Through Quinn, and through the work of this foundation, Ashleigh remains forever a part of our lives. Serving on the Board is more than a role—it’s a privilege. It is my way of honoring an incredible woman whose love, courage, and light continue to inspire everything we do.

Robert Blumer is the Co-Founder and President of the Ashleigh’s Legacy Foundation, a nonprofit organization established in honor of his late sister, Ashleigh. Inspired by her courage, compassion, and unwavering commitment to others, Robert created the Foundation to transform loss into purpose by providing hope, support, and opportunities for families and communities. A PGA Professional and longtime leader in the golf and community space, Robert has built a career centered on leadership, relationship development, and service. Through his professional experiences and involvement with numerous charitable organizations, he has played an integral role in helping grow awareness, strengthen partnerships, and expand the impact of nonprofit initiatives. Robert brings his passion for leadership, youth development, and community engagement to the Foundation’s mission, which focuses on three core pillars: brain cancer support and awareness, youth athletic and leadership development, and family and community engagement. Through these efforts, he is committed to honoring Ashleigh’s legacy by inspiring others, supporting families facing adversity, and creating a lasting positive impact for generations to come.

As the sister-in-law of Robert Blumer, Haley has come to know the lasting impact Ashleigh’s life continues to have on those around her. She never had the chance to meet Ashleigh personally. But her strength and presence are still deeply felt throughout the family. Haley’s passion for cancer awareness and philanthropy also comes from her stepmother’s own journey with cancer, and the extraordinary care she received at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Today, Haley proudly serves on the board of The Cindy Lou Foundation in support of the Evans Scholars Foundation. Meanwhile, the family continues to support cancer research initiatives at UPMC through the generosity of her stepmother’s father, Orland Bethel. His contributions helped establish the Bethel Musculoskeletal Research Center and the Bethel Orthopedic Biobank. These experiences have shown Haley the incredible difference that compassionate care, research, and community support can make for families affected by cancer. And Ashleigh’s Legacy Foundation will continue to do exactly that.

Johnny Groupe is the President and CEO of The Engineering Groupe, Inc., doing business as GROUPE, where he has built a career grounded in leadership, service, and a deep commitment to strengthening the communities the company serves. Johnny believes that successful businesses have a responsibility to give back. Throughout his career, he has championed community partnerships, supported charitable organizations, and encouraged a culture of volunteerism and civic engagement within GROUPE. Under his leadership, the company has proudly contributed its time, expertise, and resources to numerous nonprofit organizations, educational initiatives, and community service projects throughout the region. A strong advocate for collaboration and relationship-building, Johnny is passionate about investing in people, mentoring future leaders, and supporting organizations that create meaningful, lasting change. His leadership philosophy centers on integrity, generosity, and using business as a force for good. Johnny's combination of business leadership, community involvement, and philanthropic vision reflects his dedication to improving the lives of others and making a positive impact far beyond the engineering profession. He is honored to have the opportunity to serve organizations whose missions align with his commitment to strengthening and enriching the communities we all call home.

Brekan Kohlitz is a board member of Ashleigh's Legacy Foundation, dedicated to honoring the memory of his late wife, Ashleigh. Professionally, Brekan works in Product & Experience Strategy at Capital One. He lives in northern Virginia with his wife, Meg, son, Caden, and their dog, Blue. Outside of work and foundation initiatives, the family enjoys hiking the trails in Shenandoah, playing rounds of family golf, having make-your-own pizza and movie nights, and cheering Caden on at his hockey and lacrosse games. Brekan and his family remain deeply committed to carrying forward Ashleigh’s legacy through the foundation’s ongoing mission and impact.

Gracie is a graduate of the University of Lynchburg, where she studied Business Administration and Photography while playing collegiate soccer. She launched her photography business 10 years ago and has since built a diverse portfolio specializing in sports and events, as well as editorial and portrait photography. Throughout her career, Gracie has served as a sports and event photographer for the University of Lynchburg, Georgetown University, and George Mason University. Today, she focuses on wedding, family, and portrait photography. She is a contributing photographer at Wakefield School in The Plains, Virginia, and for Middleburg Life, where she is proud to highlight local businesses and stories of individuals in the Loudoun County area. In addition to her photography work, she serves on Wakefield School's Board of Trustees, reflecting her commitment to supporting education and her local community. A lifelong resident of the Loudoun County area, Gracie is also a proud mom of two young children. Her deep roots in the community, combined with her passion for storytelling, allow her to create meaningful images that celebrate some of life's most important moments.

Chad’s involvement with Ashleigh’s Legacy Foundation is deeply personal. Ashleigh was Chad’s sister-in-law, and through her courageous battle with brain cancer, he witnessed firsthand the strength, resilience, and love that defined her life. Inspired by Ashleigh’s enduring legacy and the impact she continues to have on those who knew and loved her, Chad is honored to support the Foundation’s mission of raising awareness, providing hope, and supporting families affected by brain cancer. Chad is proud to be part of an organization that keeps Ashleigh’s spirit alive while making a meaningful difference in the lives of others facing similar challenges.
